What is a Proforma?
A Proforma invoice is essentially a Quote. It looks exactly like a real invoice but is used to tell a customer: "This is how much it will cost if you decide to sew this with us." It does not record a permanent sale in your main records until you convert it.

Creating a Quote
To create one:
- Go to Invoices & Transactions > Proforma.
- Click the "Generate Quote" button.
- Input the customer's name and the items they are inquiring about.
- Set the prices and any potential discounts.

Sharing with the Client
Once generated, you can copy the link. This is perfect for WhatsApp inquiries where a customer asks, "How much for 5 Kaftans?"
Professional Edge: Sending a digital link rather than just a text message with a price makes your shop look more professional and trustworthy.
Note: Proforma invoices are for inquiry purposes. They do not deduct from your inventory or add to your "Total Paid" statistics on the dashboard.
